Veteran WR Rashod Owens knows one of the most important roles he plays for OSU during fall camp in to be the energy guy.
"At the end of the day, it's all about energy and effort," said Owens. "That's the one thing that Gundy tells us especially during game weeks."
Mike Gundy echoed those statements while meeting with the media on Saturday in Stillwater.
"He [Rashod Owens] falls in the category with Ollie [Gordon II] and [Alan] Bowman and Brennan [Presley] and some of the veteran guys, Korie [Black], [Kody] Waltersheid, Nick [Martin], they have to train, practice and have a better attitude and work harder than they ever have in their career if they want this team to win this year, and he's done that. One thing about him, he competes. When he goes on the field, he competes. When he goes on the practice field, he competes. He doesn't shy away from anything. That's the most important thing that he can do for our team."
There is a different feeling in camp for the Cowboys this year with so many returning starters and expectations for a team to compete for a Big 12 Championship. "It's very intense; the competitiveness is way up there," says last year's Texas Bowl MVP. "We all just communicate with each other and learn how to adapt to the pressure."
