A Georgia woman was arrested Monday after a high-speed chase in Broken Arrow that ended in a crash and a foot pursuit, according to police.
Broken Arrow Police said Amanda Williams, 34, was taken into custody on multiple charges including aggravated fentanyl trafficking, felony eluding, and identity theft.
Officers were called to the Bank of Oklahoma at 1520 North 9th Street at about 4:30 p.m. on Monday on a fraud report. Officers found Williams in a vehicle at the bank’s drive-thru.
Police said she saw them and she allegedly sped off, reaching speeds of 90 mph in a 40 mph zone and driving into oncoming traffic.
Williams crashed with three vehicles before crashing near the intersection of 51st Street and Lynn Lane in Tulsa. She fled on foot into a wooded area but was apprehended after a short pursuit.
Police said Williams attempted to cash a stolen check for $2,000 using a stolen driver’s license. Officers found 12.51 grams of fentanyl in her purse and stolen credit cards, debit cards, checks, Social Security cards, and driver’s licenses.
