Sand Springs Rotary Club Gifts Teachers School Supplies

The Rotary Club in Sand Springs is helping teachers have the supplies they need for their classrooms.

50 new teachers received about $400 worth of supplies on Friday.

One teacher says having the community's support means the world to her.

“As a first-year teacher fresh out of college, getting supplies and support from the community has been such a blessing, so receiving these supplies will help me better my students’ experience in my classroom as well as helping me out with not having to get so many things myself,” Makenzie Miller said.

This is the ninth year the Rotary Club has provided classroom supplies for teachers.
