OG&E Working To Restore Power To Parts Of Eastern Oklahoma After Severe Storms

OG&E said severe storms with rain and 70 mph damaging winds downed power lines, broke power poles and caused other damage to equipment near Shady Point, Muldrow, Rock Island and Williams.

Strong to severe storms in parts of Green Country provided much-needed rain to some, but caused damage in eastern Oklahoma on Saturday.

OG&E said severe storms with rain and 70 mph damaging winds downed power lines, broke power poles and caused other damage to equipment near Shady Point, Muldrow, Rock Island and Williams.

As of 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, approximately 9,100 customers are without power. Parts of Fort Smith were hit hard as well.

OG&E said crews are working around the clock until power is restored.

Once the storms move out, the high temperatures with Head Advisories and Warnings become active.
