At the University of Tulsa, students like Reagan Shull are buzzing with excitement.
“Reign Cane! Welcome home, happy move-in!” she cheered as cars passed by.
Freshman move-in day marks a new chapter for more than 750 students, TU’s second-largest class in school history.
“We’re really just here to welcome our students, make them feel at home,” said Shull.
TU president Brad Carson says that a warm welcome helps the year start off on the right foot.
“A lot of students are out helping them move in, we’re trying to introduce them to the TU culture, the TU way,” he said.
Incoming freshman Kaden Davis is moving in from Houston and says he’s coming to TU with an open mind.
“If you go into college with a fixed mindset, then you’re already shutting the doors,” he said.
As he settles into his new home, he says he’s looking forward to the opportunities that lay ahead these next four years, and he's confident in choosing TU as his university.
“I stand by that decision so far, I mean, this dorm room’s great, everyone’s been nice so far,” he said.
Classes start at the University of Tulsa on August 26th.
