The Tulsa Animal Welfare will extend its hours into the evening on Wednesday as part of the “Clear the Shelters” campaign.
Tulsa Animal Welfare will also waive adoption fees to make it even easier to bring a new furry friend into your home.
The organization will be open until 8 p.m. on Wednesday to give people time to come by after work and adopt a pet. “Clear the Shelters” is a nationwide initiative to help find loving homes for pets that are up for adoption and to reduce the number of animals in shelters.
Tulsa Animal Welfare says it is currently at 100 percent capacity. In addition to waiving adoption fees, anyone who adopts during the “Clear the Shelters” campaign will also receive pet goodies and treats as a token of appreciation.
You can view all the pets currently up for adoption on the Tulsa Animal Welfare website. Tulsa Animal Welfare will extend its hours to 8 p.m. again on September 4th. Leaders said they hope this gives people more time to find their perfect pet.
