A Collinsville man is using his business to raise money for the family of a 16-year-old who was killed in a crash earlier this month. All of the profit will be given to the teenager’s family.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Gage Nunes died after driving through a stop sign and crashing into an SUV, which left three people injured.
Tyson Baker, owner of Reach Clothing in Collinsville, was asked to create T-shirts to honor Gage’s life.
“We’re usually Collinsville blue, which is a Columbia blue, but true royal blue is Gage’s favorite color,” said Baker.
The shirts have Gage’s name and football number on the back of them. Baker says the money from each order will go directly to the Nunes family.
“By Friday we had 500 orders,” said Baker. “We’ve raised well over $4,000 for the family and 100% is going back to the family from us. We’re not taking a single penny of it.”
Baker says Gage was a genuine kid. He knows firsthand since he hired Gage to work at his snow cone stand in town.
“I think it was a great experience for him to be in a customer service base like that because you could just tell he was a people person,” said Baker.
Orders are being accepted through September 1st. They can be purchased HERE.
