Owasso Eagle Scouts Install Flagpoles At Veteran's Park

Some Owasso Eagle Scouts came together to transform an area of the city's Veteran's Park.

The project includes the installation of eight flagpoles at the Veteran's Memorial to represent each branch of the military and the Oklahoma flag.

The troop went to work on Saturday and spent the entire day on the installation.

The scout behind the project shared why it is important for those who served.

“It affects the community,” Owasso life scout Cian Hass said. “It brings more to their memorial for their veterans.”

The troop says it hopes to raise more money to add two granite signs.
