Quapaw Starts School After Storm Damage Caused Delays

Quapaw Public Schools held its first day of classes on Tuesday after storm damage caused several delays.

The storm in mid-August caused damage to H-VAC units, roofing on several buildings, fencing, flooding, and tree damage.

For the time being, classes for upper elementary students will be held in other buildings.

School leaders also changed where students will eat breakfast and lunch, which the district has outlined online.

The district said the changes are temporary until everything can be repaired.
