'A Massive Game:' FC Tulsa To Face Defending League Champions On National TV Friday

On Friday, Sept. 6 at 10 p.m., FC Tulsa will face Phoenix Rising FC on ESPN 2.

Phoenix Rising FC won the league championship in 2023 and so far this season, Tulsa and Phoenix both hold the final two playoff spots in the Western Conference.

FC Tulsa will be on the road for the national TV matchup with 10 matches remaining on the schedule.

“It's great for the club and great for soccer in this region,” Sanchez said. “It's also great for the USL Championship and the guys. We're truly motivated to put on a good performance, which we have to do. I'm definitely looking forward to it. Phoenix is on a good run. They've made some changes, and it's a massive game."

FC Tulsa had gone 100 days without losing a home game until falling to Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC last week. Phoenix Rising FC has won its last seven home matches, last losing on April 20.
