The Tulsa Fire Department has 12 new vehicles.
The department has eight new engines, three new ladder trucks and one new hazmat vehicle.
The city bought the trucks using “Improve our Tulsa” bond money along with federal money.
The department says the vehicles will help keep people safe.
“We want to get as much out of this truck as we can,” said Chief Michael Baker. “Right behind our people, this is the most expensive thing that we purchase.”
The department plans to get four more engines and a ladder truck by the end of the year.
