A one-of-a-kind pumpkin patch is now open in Tulsa.

The glass pumpkin patch at Tulsa Glassblowing School is a fundraising sale, with proceeds going to its outreach programs.

“It is one of three fundraisers that we do aside from our gala to get our glass art out into the community,” said Executive Director Janet Duvall.

The pumpkins come in all shapes and sizes, each one carefully crafted by the school's staff and veterans of the program

“It is all unique, all handblown, very artistic and pieces that you would never find anywhere else,” said Tana Parks, a returning customer of the sale.

While fall is only just getting started, Parks is shopping for another season.

“Last year my niece came from Bentonville, and she talked about the Tulsa Glassblowing School and all the beautiful pumpkins, so I am out shopping for Christmas presents,” she said.

With 800 to 900 to choose from, it is hard to pick just one.

“They are all my favorite,” said Parks. “They have some pieces this year that I have never seen before, so I am really excited,”

The Tulsa Glassblowing School even has visitors from out of state.

“They look forward to coming to the pumpkin patch, and they come in from Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma City, and we have had some from Kansas,” Duvall added.

The pumpkins range in price from $20 to $200, with the average being about $50.

Parks said she likes knowing that the money she spends is going to a good cause.

“Not only do they teach glassblowing, but they have a veteran's program, they have a children's program, they do a lot for the community,” she said.

The glass pumpkin patch from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24 through Saturday, September 28.

Tulsa Glassblowing School is at 7440 E 7th St. in McClure Park.
