'I'm Going To Get Justice For You': Family Of Tulsa Woman Missing For Nearly 2 Decades Celebrates Her Birthday

A family is remembering a missing Tulsa woman on what would have been her 64th birthday on Wednesday.

Tina Pitts disappeared from her apartment at 21st and Mingo in November of 2006 and no one has been charged in the case.

Tina Pitts’ sister, Angie Pitts, says she just wants answers to what happened back in 2006, and not knowing is the hardest part.

Family and friends have celebrated Tina Pitts’ birthday every year since she disappeared nearly 20 years ago.

She has never been found, and even though investigators found her blood in her boyfriend’s truck, no one has been charged in this case.

Her sister, Angie Pitts, is behind the efforts to figure out what happened to Tina.

“I got the drive, I got the spirit, I'm just ready to find my sister,” said Angie Pitts. “It's been years, after years, after years, and I got the same energy, from the first day to now, I got the same energy where I'm not giving up.”

Angie Pitts hopes her family is one day closer to getting an answer.

“I don't like this feeling, of not knowing where my sister is,” said Angie Pitts. “I'd rather know that if she's gone, she's gone, let me bury her, let my family be at peace. But until then, I'm not at peace. It makes me wonder where she is, who got her, why did it happen?”

She knows there is someone out there with answers and urges them to come forward.

“The ones that know something that never open their mouth,” said Angie Pitts. “Just recall, it may be your family one day. And if so, I'll help you, I'll support you. I'll even say something, call it whatever you want.”

Angie Pitts says she has no plans of stopping her search.

“Until I'm gone,” said Angie Pitts. “I'm raising all the kids and nieces and nephews and everybody else to do it. It's going to go, I'm going to be here a long time, a long time. A long time. I'm not going nowhere.”

She wishes she could tell Tina Pitts just how much she means to their family.

“I love you, we miss you, and I know you are at peace with God and my mother, and I'm going to stand for you,” said Tina Pitts. “I'm going to fight for you, and I'm going to get justice for you. One way or the other, and you know that.”

The investigation is still ongoing.
