28-year-old Dustin Vance and two friends were riding motorcycles along Riverside Drive around midnight on Sept. 14 when they had a confrontation with the driver of a Honda Civic.

A friend riding with Vance captured video of the incident on a camera attached to his motorcycle.

“Get out and do something,” one of the motorcyclists said. “Get out of my f***ing way,” the driver replied.

The back-and-forth continued onto Interstate 44, Vance sped up to get in front of the car and then slowed down. The driver of the Honda hit Vance’s motorcycle, sending him over the railing. The driver of the car did not stop, and Vance was killed.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says no arrest has been made. Vance’s father, Jeff, is frustrated that no one has been arrested, as he does not believe this was an accident.

“In my opinion, my son was murdered,” Jeff said.

He says his son meant a lot to many people.

“He was fun-loving, full of life, and he was smart … and he was my Superman,” Jeff said.

Vance was the father of a 6-year-old boy, who now has to live without his favorite person.

“I don’t know what to tell him; I just continue to reaffirm that his daddy loved him and that his daddy knew that he loved him,” Jeff said.

Jeff says they are hoping for a thorough investigation of the incident.

“I just want to know that they are doing right by my son,” he said.

While they wait for what’s next, the family is committed to honoring Dustin’s memory.

“His memory stays alive because his mini-me is left behind,” Jeff said.

The OHP says they are investigating the crash, and there is no timetable for the investigation.
