Firefighters Respond To Turley House Fire

Tulsa Firefighters say burning trash may have caused a house fire in Turley on Wednesday.

The man who lives in the home made it out safely and firefighters were able to extinguish the flames.

Firefighters urge everyone to be cautious as we head into the cooler, dryer months.

"So right now, like you said, it's dry. We haven't had much rain this year so right now I'd advise everybody not to burn at all," Tulsa firefighter Brady Bowman said. "Be safe, be smart. Don't leave any candles burning. Kind of the normal stuff. We're getting into fire season where it's going to start cooling off."

Firefighters also stressed the importance of smoke detectors.
