Tulsa State Fair Worker Accused Of Inappropriately Touching 15-Year-Old Boy, Mother Wants Charges Filed

A mother hopes charges will be filed against a man she says inappropriately touched her 15-year-old son at the Tulsa State Fair.

She says her son never wants to go back to the fair and she never wants something like this to happen to another child. 

We are protecting the mother's identity to protect the privacy of her son.

The woman we're calling Tammy, says the fair worker made her son feel dirty and violated after the worker made vulgar comments to him, and then rubbed himself against her son's leg.

Tammy is a mother of three and says within an hour of them getting to the Tulsa State Fair on Sunday, her 15-year-old son said he'd been touched by a worker on the swing tower ride.

Tammy said, "The guy walked up to my oldest and wouldn't release him, it's like a key release, wouldn't release him and then my son said 'Are you good?"

She says her son said the worker said something vulgar, then the man rubbed his privates against her son's leg, before letting him off the ride.

"I could not believe how distraught he had gotten, and it takes a lot for him he tried to be a really tough kid..... he didn't want nobody next to him, nobody to touch him," said Tammy.

She said they immediately filed a report with the Tulsa County Sheriff's office.

North American Midway Entertainment is responsible for hiring employees at the fair. They sent News on 6's a statement that says: 

"North American Midway Entertainment is aware of the incident. The individual involved was immediately escorted off the grounds by police and terminated from employment. All of our employees, whether local or traveling, undergo a thorough background check. This individual was a local hire and passed a background check on September 23, 2024. We take matters related to sexual assault very seriously and remain committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all our guests."

Tammy says her son is still struggling with what happened and it's even affecting him in the sport he loves, wrestling. 

"That bothers him, he says he feels so dirty he doesn't want no one touching him he can't get what happened Sunday out of his head," said Tammy. 

Tulsa County Sheriff's Office tells me they are investigating this case once finished, they'll send it to the district attorney's office, who will decide on what, if any charges to file.
