Bristow residents have the opportunity to help the community secure additional federal funding to improve local broadband internet access.

Residents with home internet service are encouraged to complete a speed test to verify they are receiving the speeds they are paying for. Community leaders say many broadband reports have been inaccurate.

Bristow Mayor Kris Wyatt emphasized that the speed test survey is crucial in securing funding to enhance broadband access.

“We’re able to see the impact of not having good internet access in any area," Wyatt said. "The rural areas I think have been the last to be approached and so particularly when you start looking at the education system what is needed for students.”

Residents have until the end of October to complete the survey, which can be found by clicking HERE.
