2 Injured In Shooting Near Pine And Utica

Around 2 a.m., Tulsa police say they received several calls saying a car had crashed into a power pole near Pine and Utica.

“When officers arrived, they found 2 people inside the vehicle who had been shot, male and female,” said Lieutenant Justin Oxford.

At the same time, police say others called 911 saying they heard gunshots at a house nearby.

Police believe there was a fight at the house and people inside shot at the vehicle. Both victims are in critical condition. 

“Found a residence down there with a lot of shell casings, lot of people, detectives detained several witnesses and possible suspects,” said Lt. Oxford. 

“I’m tired … your mama’s tired about worrying about y’all,” said Angie Pitts. 

She says her grandson and his girlfriend were the people shot. She says she’s fed up.

“I’m begging you, put your guns down and start using your fists … if you hate somebody that much, just don’t speak to them,” she said. 

Pitts says people need to find better ways to act before they resort to picking up guns. 

“I don’t care what color you are … red, green, purple, blue, whatever, we're all the same color, we all bleed the same way, we were all born the same way, let's all die the same way … let God take us, not another man,” she said.
