Sending a big congratulations to Emmalani Johnson on the buck she harvested during youth deer gun season.

She got him on public land with a 125-yard shot.

I have to say, hunting is something she takes seriously and has been preparing for.

A few months ago she spent her 10th birthday at a deer conference in Midwest City to learn all about hunting.

She was part of a class I taught for women in the outdoors, and she was engaged in the conversation and excited about deer season.
