Dewayne Bryan, founder of Dad’s Walk, is gearing up for the fourth annual walk to support the Hopestone Cancer Support Center, which helps patients with essential needs like wigs, medical supplies, and meal programs, and Paths to Independence, a Bartlesville school for individuals with autism.

The event, dedicated to those affected by cancer, will span three days beginning Nov. 7 and will cover 60 miles from Claremore to Copan, Oklahoma.

The group will depart from the Claremore American Legion early in the morning, accompanied by supporters from across the globe, including participants from New Jersey, New Zealand, and Australia. The journey will proceed to Nowata, where walkers will rest, enjoy acoustic music, and hydrate for the next day’s 19-mile segment.

On Nov. 8, walkers will arrive at Hopestone, followed by an evening gathering starting at 7 p.m. with live music, refreshments, and an auction featuring locally crafted items, signed memorabilia, NFL collectibles, and more.

The final day includes a stop at Paths to Independence for breakfast before continuing to Copan, where custom hot rods will welcome walkers downtown.

Festivities will start at 2 p.m. and continue until late that night, featuring music, BBQ, and fellowship. A church service will follow on Sunday morning before participants walk a final mile in honor of veterans and the late CW3 Stephen Dwyer, alongside his family.

Donations can also be made directly to Hopestone and Paths to Independence.
