The Pinto Horse Show Competition has been going on all week at the Expo Square. It's free for anyone to attend and it's not too late.

The horses competing are showing off their walks, trots, and canters.

"Most shows just show one breed that they represent but this show has three different ones, plus ranch horses,” Jenny LaGrange, an exhibitor, said.

But before each show even begins, there's a lot of work done behind the scenes by LaGrange and the other people showing the horses.

"I have been getting up at five and getting here by six,” LaGrange said. “Get the horse fed, clean stalls and all that and get them ready.

That early alarm is worth it to her.

"I raise horses, and I guess it’s just in my blood,” LaGrange said.

It's also a passion of Ceralena Gray. She and her horse, Sebastian, have won two events this week.

"I felt like I had a great ride but at the end of the day it's up to the judges so I think they liked what they saw and that's all you can ask for,” Gray said.

While it's great to go home with some hardware, spending time with her friends she only sees here in Tulsa makes the trip worthwhile too.

"I have friends from Washington that are here, some from New Jersey and they are here,” Gray said. “We finally get to see each other and hang out and talk horses and go out to dinner and you don't get to do it very often."

The horse show will end around noon on Saturday.
