The Tulsa County Election Board certified the results of the Nov. 5 General and Municipal Run-off elections late Friday, after reviewing 1669 provisional ballots.

Most were rejected because the voter wasn’t registered or was trying to vote in the wrong precinct. Voters can easily verify registration and precinct locations at the Oklahoma Voter Portal.

The Election Board met Friday to open up the triple-locked boxes holding the provisional ballots cast, but not counted on Election Day.

With the board members watching, the staff opened envelopes holding the ballots so each one can be examined, in a process similar to the review for absentee ballots. Most of those are accepted, while most of the provisional ballots from Nov. 5 were rejected. Only 539 were approved by the board and added into the official results.
