Arvest Bank has secured the naming rights for the Bank of America Center, a landmark building located at 15 W. 6th St. in downtown Tulsa.
Leaders at Arvest made the announcement on Monday and said the move highlights the bank’s commitment to downtown growth and strengthens its presence in the heart of the city.
While Arvest Bank will continue to provide banking services from its branch at 5th and Main, the first floor of the 32-story high-rise will house Arvest Wealth Management. Leaders said the acquisition also complements the nearby Arvest Mortgage office.
“We are thrilled to take this next step in our commitment to downtown Tulsa by acquiring the naming rights to this landmark building,” said Kirk Hays, President of Arvest Bank – Tulsa Region. “This decision reflects our long-term investment in Tulsa’s future as we plan to be great corporate neighbors for years to come. We look forward to providing downtown customers an exceptional experience, complete with free and convenient parking.”
The 288,776-square-foot high-rise which sits at the corner of Sixth Street and Boulder Avenue is the fifth tallest building in Tulsa and was built in 1967. Price Family Properties currently owns it.
“We are excited to have one of the nation’s premier banks as an anchor tenant,” said Jackie Price, President of Price Family Properties. “Together with Arvest, we are committed to contributing to the growth and vibrancy of downtown Tulsa.”
The rebranding of the tower is expected to be completed in February, with construction underway on the first floor to accommodate Arvest Wealth Management associates.
“We’re excited to continue providing clients with wealth management services from this new prime location,” said Eric Shepard, senior vice president and regional manager for Arvest Wealth Management. “This opportunity allows us to expand the exceptional services available to our existing clients while showcasing what we have to offer to potential customers who aren’t as familiar with us.”
