Stillwater Police Remind Drivers About Flooding Concerns In Town

Stillwater Police are reminding drivers about the dangers of flooding after a day of heavy rain.

Video on Monday showed a driver who was stuck on a road in Stillwater, where she said she couldn't see the high water.

Police said when it rains that hard, debris including leaves often clog drains which leads to more water on streets.

"Your visibility is very limited, so you can't see the roadway, you can't see the water on the roadway, and you can't judge that depth at all," said Officer Joey Johnsonbaugh with Stillwater Police.

Officers say Stillwater has several spots in town that are prone to flooding.
