Gov. Stitt Calls Special Election To Fill Okmulgee County Commissioner Vacancy

Gov. Kevin Stitt has called a Special Election to fill the District 1 Okmulgee County Commissioner vacancy, scheduled for Feb. 11 and April 1.

Gov. Kevin Stitt has announced a Special Election to fill the vacant District 1 Okmulgee County Commissioner seat, according to the Okmulgee County Election Board.

The Special Primary Election is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 11, with the Special General Election set for Tuesday, April 1.

Candidate Filing Information

The filing period for candidates opens at 8 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 2, and closes at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4.

Individuals interested in running for the position can pick up an official filing packet at the Okmulgee County Election Board, located at 314 W. 7th Street, Room 102, Okmulgee County Courthouse

Filing packets are also available for download on the Oklahoma State Election Board website.

The Okmulgee County Election Board is open Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. During the Candidate Filing Period, the office will extend its hours to 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 2, through Friday, December 6.
