The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and other law enforcement agencies have located a 42-year-old man identified as a person of interest in connection with three homicides in Oklahoma.

OSBI posted to Facebook on Tuesday that Richard Dewayne Chambers was being sought for an ongoing investigation.

OSBI said he is a person of interest in a double homicide in Pontotoc County and a separate single homicide in Midwest City.

Several law enforcement agencies were involved in the search, and Chambers was located near Non in Hughes County, according to Coal County Sheriff's Department.

Midwest City Police Department released a statement about the homicide, saying that the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office contacted them to check the welfare of a resident in Midwest City early Wednesday morning.

Authorities had discovered a vehicle registered to Annie Brown, 62, at a homicide scene in Pontotoc County.

Upon entering the residence, police found Brown deceased from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Investigators learned that Chambers had been living in the residence's backyard and had taken Brown’s vehicle hours before the discovery.

The police department has stated that there is no further threat to the public and believes the incident was isolated.
