The Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon is on the verge of a significant achievement: participation from runners in all 50 states.

Only Alaska and Rhode Island remain unrepresented in the event, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

Organizers call on runners from these two states to join the #RUNtoREMEMBER and help make history.

The marathon, known for honoring the lives lost in the 1995 Murrah Federal Building bombing, offers six different events this year, including a brand-new Quarter Marathon.

Participants of all experience levels can participate, with registration open at okcMarathon.com.

Runners and supporters are encouraged to spread the word and invite friends and family nationwide.
