A small coffee shop in Yukon is seeing overnight success after Oklahoma influencers posted online about the shop.

The owner says it’s a miracle, and after almost closing its doors due to slow business, the owner says they are doing better than ever.

Jamie Jessee, the owner of SOW House of Sips, says at one point she was paying the rent at the coffee shop instead of her home mortgage, but now she is thanking the community for showing her the Oklahoma standard.

"I put all of my eggs in this basket, so when I didn't see the turnaround, it was scary," Jessee said.

One of the regular customers of Jessee's shop, Khadijah Artis, said he knew he had to do something.

"My heart just instantly went to 'how can I help her?'" Artis said.

After reaching out to Oklahoma influencers, Artis helped spread the word for others to support Jessee's shop.

"Literally overnight, it has been an answered prayer," Jessee said. "It says a lot, not just to me personally, but this place and this space and what it has created in the community, and people want to support it."

Not content with only supporting House of Sips, Artis said she wants Oklahomans to continue to shop locally and support small businesses.

"If we as a community can help various small businesses in the community, then they have a longer path to longevity," Artis said.

Jessee says she isn’t scared or overwhelmed by this influx of customers, but welcomes it and is excited to see the place grow even more.

The increase in customers motivated the owners of SOW House of Sips to launch a brand new menu to keep people coming through the doors.
