28-year-old woman killed in crash near Ada

OHP is investigating the cause of a crash in Pontotoc County on Saturday that killed a 28-year-old woman from Ada.

A 28-year-old woman is dead following a crash in Pontotoc County on Saturday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said the crash occurred a mile west of Ada on County Road 3540.

Troopers said two vehicles crashed just after 7 p.m. and Thalia Baptiste died at the hospital afterwards.

The driver of the other vehicle was pinned for approximately an hour before being freed by Ada firefighters, OHP said. That man was treated and released from the hospital.

Investigators said Baptiste was not wearing a seatbelt.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
