A fugitive who appeared on Oklahoma Attorney General Gentner Drummond's 10 Most Wanted list has been arrested.

In a press release issued by Drummond's office, Drummond says U.S. Marshals apprehended Sau Tau Liu in California.

Liu was wanted after being indicted by a multi-county grand jury for trafficking more than 25 pounds of marijuana.

"This arrest again demonstrates the effectiveness of our 10 Most Wanted program, and the strong partnerships between state, federal, tribal and local law enforcement," Drummond said. "It is important we engage with the public to ensure these individuals are held accountable for their alleged crimes.”

Liu was added to Drummond's 10 Most Wanted list in January, and Drummond said tips from the public helped generate leads in the case.

An investigation led authorities to Sacramento, where Liu was successfully apprehended.

Drummond said Liu's arrest marked the eighth successful capture from the 10 Most Wanted list.
