The death of an Oklahoma County man has been deemed suspicious.

The body of Mark Winn, 34, was discovered behind a home in Warr Acres, Tuesday.

Just days before investigators said family members reported him missing to the Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

Warr Acres Assistant Chief Jason Allen said their department and the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Office were investigating Winn’s case as a suspicious death.

Winn's family shared cherished family photos with News 9. In two photographs taken more than two decades apart, Mark, the baby in the family is pictured with his two siblings and their mother.

Last week the family's matriarch reported her son Mark Winn, 34, missing. In a report, she told investigators she feared he was "under the influence of drugs and was afraid he would relapse."

“He doesn’t have a history of disappearing or wandering off,” said Aaron Brilbeck, Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office.

The day after he was reported missing Winn's vehicle was found abandoned at an apartment complex near Northwest 78th and Rockwell,

According to his siblings, Winn's work and personal cellphones, and his wallet were found inside his vehicle. Witnesses told the family there had been "an unknown black male operating the vehicle."

Wednesday the family learned the devastating news--Mark was found deceased behind a home in Warr Acres.

While his death is suspicious in nature investigators will have to wait for the Oklahoma State Medical Examiner will determine how he died. “We don’t know the cause of death just yet. We don't know if the cold played a factor,” said Brilbeck.

Winn's family is pleading with the public for any information as they try to come to grips with him never coming home.

Winn leaves behind a 13-year-old daughter who family members say he cherished.

“If you've seen him over the past few days, know anything—obviously, our investigators want to hear from you,” said Brilbeck.

According to a missing person's report, FLOCK cameras helped locate Winn's vehicle in Oklahoma City.
