The Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma’s fashion show is this Friday, January 31st, and the models are hitting local boutiques looking for the perfect outfit.

It is essentially any girl’s dream. Hit the stores, with your friends shopping for the perfect runway outfit.

“To see them strut the runway and just have the confidence and just to show their personalities on the stage, it’s like nothing I have ever seen or witnessed before,” said Sarah Soell, Executive Director for The Down Syndrome Association of Central Oklahoma.

“I have two big reveals, one of them, I have a sparkly headband, with Feed Me Gems on it,” said fashion show participant Addie.

The models have been practicing their model moves in anticipation of the big day. The show will feature 22 models, both males and females of all ages.

“The name of our fashion show is Uniquely 21, the E in uniquely is a 3 and 21 for Trisomy 21 which is also known as Down Syndrome,” said Soell.

The fun is this Friday, February 1st, starting at 7pm at the Criterion in Bricktown.

“We’re all about having a good time at the Down Syndrome Association, and that’s really what this event is all about,” said Soell.
