Police identify child found alone in Norman; parent located

8:45 a.m. UPDATE: Norman Police confirmed that a young boy found alone on Saturday has been identified, and his parent has been located.

Police posted online saying the young boy was found walking alone on Lindsey Street at 5 a.m.

Officers said the boy was safe, they just needed help identifying him and locating his parents or guardians.

NPD shared an update at 8:38 a.m. saying he was identified and a parent was located.

"Officers are working to complete additional follow-up regarding the incident," Norman Police posted.
