Elderly man killed in Mustang shooting

An elderly man is dead following a shooting in Mustang, according to police.

Mustang police say the shooting happened near the 1800 block of East Longview around 4 p.m. Saturday.

This started as a verbal altercation between family members and led to one gunshot being fired, according to police.

"This does appear to be an isolated event," said Mustang Police Chief Michael Wallace.

Police say the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigations is helping process evidence.
