Two Oklahoma City City Council seats were up for election Tuesday, with one race being decided and another going to a runoff election in April.

Oklahoma City City Council Ward 3 election results

Oklahoma City’s Ward 3 has a new voice in Oklahoma City’s city council after Katrina Avers won over Councilwoman Barbara Peck.

Ward 3 covers parts of south Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma City City Council Ward 7 election results

Camal Pennington and John Pettis, Jr. will be on the ballot in April’s runoff election for Oklahoma City’s Ward 7 council seat. Nikki Nice gave up that seat after voters elected her to the Oklahoma Senate in November 2024.

Pennington is the chair of Oklahoma City’s Planning Commission. Pettis, Jr. is a former councilman for Ward 7.

Ward 7 covers much of northeast Oklahoma City, including Spencer and parts of Luther. The runoff is on April 1.
