A Texas family is seeking answers after their son and his friend were assaulted at a party in Wade, Oklahoma, last Friday. The incident, which took place about 45 minutes from Denison, Texas, was caught on camera.
Seventeen-year-old Ayden Hulsey and his friends attended the party, but when they attempted to leave, they asked some people to move their vehicles. Hulsey says the situation quickly escalated, and his friend was attacked. When Hulsey tried to intervene, he was also assaulted by several individuals.
Hulsey’s parents were shown the video by police. His father, Adam Hulsey, said he was unable to watch the full footage.
"I made it 15 seconds before I buckled to my knees, screamed at the police officer to turn it off, and then I just grabbed my son and held him, and he was consoling me at that point," Adam Hulsey said.
Ayden sustained a sprained ankle and wrist, a concussion, and several facial injuries from being kicked with a boot. The extent of the other teen’s injuries remains unknown.
Bryan County deputies are actively investigating the assault, and while they are working to identify everyone involved in the video, no arrests have been made yet.
