The first-ever Inclusive Community Resource Fair will take place at Metro Tech’s Spring Lake Campus on Thursday, March 13, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event aims to connect individuals with disabilities and their families to essential resources for employment, transportation, and education.

Jeff Newton, an event organizer, said the fair will feature agencies and programs providing guidance on job opportunities, career training, and transportation solutions. “We have a transition-age focus for high school students moving into life after high school, but we’ll have resources for all ages,” Newton said.

Representatives from the Department of Rehabilitation Services will be available to discuss career training and education, while Embark will showcase its city buses and help attendees navigate public transportation options. The Oklahoma State Department of Education will also hold seminars on alternate diplomas and adult guardianship. Spanish interpretation will be available for all events.

The fair will be held at 1900 Spring Lake Drive in Oklahoma City. Attendees are encouraged to register in advance to ensure enough food is available.
