Home damaged by fire in NW Oklahoma City

The Oklahoma City Fire Department says a fire caused an estimated $35,000 in damages to a home near West Britton Road and North Western Avenue on Tuesday.

A home was damaged by a fire in NW Oklahoma City on Tuesday, firefighters say.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department said it happened at a home near 900 NW 96th Street in the evening.

They told News 9 the homeowners saw their house on fire through a camera on their phone while they were away.

Firefighters responded and contained the flames to the front rooms, but there was heavy smoke damage throughout.

OCFD estimates the damages to be around $35,000. The cause of the fire is being investigated.

No injuries were reported.
