Fires continue to burn near Leedey as evacuations remain in place

Fires continue to burn northeast of Leedey, where evacuations remain in effect overnight.

Storm Tracker Marty Logan is five miles northeast of Leedey, where cedar trees are fueling the flames. Cedar trees are highly flammable due to the oils inside them, increasing fire intensity in the area.

Officials urge residents to follow evacuation orders as crews work to contain the fire.
