Jim Gardner and Sky News 9 view wildfire damage near Harrah

Fire crews continue battling hot spots this morning as wildfires leave a trail of destruction across the state. Aerial footage near Harrah shows several homes burned near Britton Road and Moccasin Lane, where what started as a small grass fire quickly turned destructive.

Further south, near Lake Thunderbird, another wildfire destroyed 8 to 10 homes in a nearby community. Firefighters worked through the night to contain the flames, preventing what could have been an even greater disaster.

Emergency crews are still assessing the damage and monitoring potential flare-ups. Residents are urged to remain cautious as dry conditions and shifting winds continue to pose wildfire risks.
