Firefighters respond to grass fire in Edmond, no structures damaged

Fire crews are responding to a grass fire in Edmond near 206th Street and Portland Avenue.

The fire began around 3:17 p.m. in a field with tall grass on the east side of Northwest 206th Street.

10 acres have burned, and the fire has jumped a creek. Strong winds continue to be a concern.

No homes or structures have been damaged, and aren't currently deemed to be at risk. Multiple fire crews from different municipalities are on-site assessing needs.

The fire's intensity has lessened compared to when it had first started.
