The energy is strong over in Raleigh, North Carolina, where the Sooners Men's Basketball team go up against the two-time defending champs University of Connecticut Huskies.

News 9's Chris Williams says to expect a physical game between the teams as he reports live from the Lenovo Center to talk Sooner March Madness.

"Expect a physical game between OU and UCONN. Both teams have talked about that physicality," he said.

UCONN Head Coach Dan Hurley said he's impressed with what he's seen from Oklahoma.

"You see what they're capable of. When Fears is dynamic and being able to get wherever he wants on the court, he's able to trigger a lot of things offensively for them with Moore and Miles," Hurley said. "They've got a lot of depth and a lot of weapons, especially at the guard spots."

Chris Williams also had a chance to catch up with Voice of the Sooners Toby Rowland to get his take on Friday's matchup which included some choice words for Jeramiah Fears.

"Don't be timid early. This is a big stage, it would be really easy to kinda be timid early especially when you're 18 years old," Rowland said. "He's gotta be a aggressive early and all night long."

The Sooners face off UCONN Friday for their first match of this year's March Madness at approximately 8:25 p.m. inside the Lenovo Center in Raleigh, NC.
