A new report shows that the population of eastern monarch butterflies has nearly doubled compared to the previous year.
Scientists attribute the rebound in butterfly population to better weather in 2024, with fewer drought conditions along their migration route from Canada to Mexico, passing through Oklahoma and the United States.
After years of decline, the increase in butterfly numbers is seen as a positive sign, bringing optimism for their long-term survival.
