Our Blood Institute opens new Yukon donation center

Our Blood Institute announces the opening of a new donation clinic in Yukon, increasing access to blood donation on the west side of the Oklahoma City metro.

OBI says the new location, located near Route 66 and Morgan Road, will allow the organization to

OBI CEO John Armitage says that with donation numbers growing in Yukon, the organization wanted to give patients an updated facility that honors them and their acts to help others.

"You want people to be rewarded not only inwardly, but outwardly, to say we appreciate you and what you're doing is special," Armitage said. "Have a special building, a new building."

OBI says it only takes an hour to donate, and each donation saves up to 3 lives.
