Starting today, the Social Security office will start withholding checks for some seniors due to mishandled funds and payments.

The 'accidental over-payments' are being reviewed by the government agency, which could affect the 70 million current social security recipients across the US.

CBS Business Analyst Jill Schlesinger talks how people can contest the withholding, as long as their information is current and updated.

"You can actually appeal the decision if you think a mistake has been made. The error could be on either side, it could be me, a social security recipient not saying I've got a change in status, something happened," she said. "Or it could be the government who goofed, whoever is responsible doesn't matter."
