UPDATE: Planned changes from the Social Security Administration (SSA) set to take effect on Monday have now been delayed, the administration says.

Social Security policy changes delayed until April 14

The Social Security Administration announced a new online service for Oklahoma residents to manage their federal information through their "my Social Security" portal.

You can access the official site here.

Regional Commissioner Travis Dodson said the site can be mainly used to request Social Security card replacements but will also serve as a way for beneficiaries to manage their information online.

This will alleviate the need to physically go to your local Social Security office to make requests or changes, which contradicts the recent push by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to crack down on fraud and fund mishandling.

The secure online hub will allow users to start or change direct deposits online, request replacement cards, or print or download a current Benefit Verification Letter, among other uses.

Users can also receive a Social Security Statement, which provides their earnings information as well as estimates of their future benefits.
