Remains found in Pottawatomie County identified as missing man last seen in Shawnee

Human remains found in Pottawatomie County last month have been identified, according to authorities.

The Oklahoma Office of the Chief Medical Examiner says remains that were found near Tecumseh along US Highway 177 and Tucker Road have been identified as those of Jeremy Dixon.

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff's Office says Dixon was last seen in Shawnee in March 2023.

An investigation is now underway into Dixon's death.
