Authorities identify suspect killed, deputies injured in Logan County officer-involved shooting

The identity of the suspect killed and injured deputies has been released following Wednesday's Logan County officer-involved shooting.

Authorities have released the identities of the suspect killed and the deputies injured in a shooting involving officers on Wednesday.

According to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was 45-year-old Jeremy Dean Barnett. The injured deputies have been identified as Captain Tom Kutay and Kayoomars Niroomand.

Both deputies were treated and released from the hospital on Wednesday with non-life-threatening injuries.

Authorities say the deputies were responding to a verbal domestic dispute when they began shooting at them.

Both deputies have been placed on administrative leave while the investigation continues.
