The annual Midtown Walkabout is set to return on Saturday, marking its 10th anniversary of bringing excitement and community spirit to Oklahoma City’s Midtown district.

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., the event on Saturday will feature a full day of local shopping, entertainment, and activities for all ages, but event organizers say the celebration promises to be bigger and better than years past.

With exclusive in-store deals, a vendor market on Walker Avenue, and family-friendly events organized by the Midtown Association and Downtown Oklahoma City Partnership, the event will also showcase live music, food trucks and special promotions throughout the district.

“We’re honored to celebrate 10 years of Midtown Walkabout with our event attendees, residents, businesses, and employees,” Midtown District Manager Jakey Dobbs said. “This event highlights the vibrancy of our district and the amazing community that makes Midtown such a special place.”

The Downtown OKC Partnership says special activities for the event include:

  1. Duck, Duck, Goose! Scavenger Hunt: Pick up a game card at the information tent and search for ducks hidden in Midtown businesses for a chance to win prizes.
  2. Vendor Market on Walker Ave: A pop-up market showcasing local goods and shops from Park Place to 12th Street.
  3. OKC Thunder Fan Activities: OKC Thunder Entertainers will appear at McNellie's OKC patio from 2 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. and the corner of 12th and Walker from 2:45 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  4. Walkabout on Walker Ave: Free caricatures, face painting, sidewalk sales and more.
  5. Live Music: Performances throughout the district at Hillwilly's Kitchen & Bar, McNellie's OKC, The Collective Food Hall, Ultraviolet and the Well's Fire Truck at the Vendor Market.
  6. Complimentary Florals: Free to the first 500 guests, with additional arrangements available for purchase from Curbside Flowers.
  7. Typewriter Poetry: On-demand poetry provided by Art Moves.
  8. House Blends Day Party: A fusion of music, art, fashion, and food featuring over 25 vendors, musicians, and artists at Ultraviolet.
