Baking for the soul: How Eddie Campbell turned family roots into a community staple

Food is said to be the link to the soul. But for Eddie Campbell, it's a link to family and community.

His passion for baking and cooking was cultivated from a young age by his mother. He would watch her cook and create many masterpieces in the kitchen—an art form that he would carry on to build a business.

It started small, he'd bake cakes for friends, family and people around the community. Eventually, the idea of a business was planted. He named it DC Wings and Cakes the DC for his mother and late aunt who have passed.

He not only created a restaurant but a space for all to relax and unwind—a place for the community to come around and gather. Eddie thanks God for the community that he's been able to grow, and he's also thankful for his community and all the support they give him.
